4 Day Detox Cleanse

Autumn is here, and what a great reason to begin the new season with an effective 4-day detox cleanse! Our detox cleansing diet will can help remove toxins from your body and be thought of as a whole body cleanse.  Below is our reliable go-to beach body cleanse that will leave you feeling refreshed and energised.  The lunch and dinner recipes serve 4 people, so you can make a large batch and prep and store, for later use.

 

Natural Detox Cleanse

Cleansing Detox Lemon diet drink (drink on waking)
Lemon Detox Cleanse-Skinny Time Tea

  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp. Honey (optional)
  • 1/10 tsp of powder cayenne pepper
  • 250 ml of boiled water
 

Breakfast

Green Smoothie Bowl
Detox Cleanse Smoothie Bowl-Skinny Time Tea
  • 1/4ripe avocado
  • frozen bananas 
  • 1cup fresh or frozen mixed berries 
  • 2 handfuls spinach 
  • 1small handful kale 
  • 1 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1 Tbs flaxseed meal
  • Tbs almond or peanut butter (optional)
Blend ingredients in a blender, pour into a bowl and sprinkle with your favourite toppings. Some suggestions are: hemp or chia seeds, chopped almonds, pecans or almonds, fresh berries or goji berries, shredded coconut.
 

Lunch

Asian Inspired Salad
Natural Detox Cleanse Salad-Skinny Time Tea
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 1 red capsicum, finely diced
  • 2 celery stalks, finely diced
  • 1/4 medium red onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro or parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • Optional: 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, almonds, or cashews
Dressing:
  • 2 tbs toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tbs honey
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tbs grated ginger
  • 1 small clove of grated garlic (optional)
Combine salad ingredients in one bowl and toss with the dressing,

 

Mid-afternoon Cleanse Detox Juice

 Detox Cleanse -Skinny Time Tea
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 3 Celery stalks
  • 1 or 2 Green apples (depending  on the desired sweetness)
  • 8 large Kale Leaves
  • Juice from 1 Lemon
  • Thumb size piece of ginger
Wash ingredients. Peel the lemon and core apple. Add all ingredients through a juicer. Enjoy!

Dinner

Steamed Vegetables with Sesame-Chile Oil (Serves 4)
Detox Cleanse Steamed Vegetables-Skinny Time Tea
  • 3 carrots, peeled and cut on the bias into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 8 spears asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces 
  • 1/4 head cauliflower, cut into 1-inch florets 
  • 1/4 head broccoli, cut into 1-inch florets 
Dressing
  • 1 tablespoon sesame-chile oil 
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil 
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped 
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes 
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon 
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper 

Arrange the carrots, asparagus, cauliflower and broccoli in a metal steamer basket; place in the pot and cover. Steam the vegetables until slightly tender but still with a little crunch, 5 to 6 minutes.

While the veggies are steaming, heat a small saute pan over medium heat. Add the sesame-chile oil, olive oil, garlic and pepper flakes, and cook for 1 minute.

Transfer the steamed vegetables to a bowl. Add the sesame-chili oil mixture and the lemon juice, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Toss to coat the vegetables evenly.

Serve immediately.
